Identity Fest 2012

Identity Festival’s kick off performance took place with headliners Kaskade and Steve Aoki last summer as multi-month, multi-stop EDM tour last year. The event, which helped to support the launch of Kaskade’s most recent album, Fire and Ice, was considered so successful that the event promoters decided to bring it back for a second year.

As your musical doctors, this was our first true experience venturing into EDM and our first festival we ever attended. Seeing the likes of Afrojack, Kaskade, Nero, Steve Aoki, Le Castle Vania, and Pretty Lights for the cost of just $20 was just too good of a deal to miss. Last year, we attended the San Diego/Chula Vista tour destination and have to say the event went off without a hitch. The atmosphere in the facility was exciting, the dance floors were packed, and the artists put on one helluva show. We highly recommend attending this tour this year when it comes to a city near you.

Must Be The Feeling (Nero and Flux Pavilion Remix)

Just a quick bit of medicine from the doctor coming your way on an otherwise unproductive Saturday night.

I first saw Nero after having become a huge fan at Identity Festival down in Chula Vista last fall. Not only was this my first festival but it was first live experience for all things EDM. Naturally, this means Identity Fest will always be one of my favorite shows.

Anyway, enough blabbering and onto the video. Nero and Flux Pavilion collaborated on what could be possibly the best songs off of the album Welcome Reality, put out last year. This remix doesn’t feature the crazy Skrillex sounds that dubstep has come to expect. Instead, it fuses the Nero and Flux Pavilion styles of heavy bass and an organic rolling motion. Needless to say, this will be on blast at my house for a long time to come.

Check it out and let us know if you agree.
